CATering Pheasant – wet food for cats

Pheasant is a noble, less common source of animal protein that perfectly matches the carnivorous nature of cats. The CATering Pheasant recipe consists of 97% pheasant muscle meat and broth. CATering Pheasant creates a delicate, aromatic mousse with exceptional palatability.

This recipe stands out with the lowest carbohydrate content in the entire CATering line (only 3.6% on a dry matter basis) and the highest crude protein content (reaching 57% on a dry matter basis). Phosphorus comes exclusively from organic sources (0.76% on a dry matter basis) – ideal and safe.

Will CATering pheasant mousse be ideal for your cat?

Pheasant is game meat – an animal protein that rarely appears in commercial cat foods. This makes it a great choice for an elimination diet. In the land of PERROland, every purring pet will find their flavor – the CATering line offers as many as 12.

Cat with food intolerance / allergy
One source of animal protein in every flavor. Pheasant is a rare game protein – one of the safer choices for an elimination diet, as the cat's body is less likely to react to it.

Cat with sensitive kidneys
Phosphorus is exclusively organic, 0.16% as-fed (0.73% dry matter) – safely below 1%, which is one of the guiding ideas behind all CATering flavors.

Cat prone to diabetes or insulin resistance
Carbohydrates at 3.6% dry matter – the lowest level in the entire CATering line. Strong support for glycemic stability without restricting food intake.

Cat after neutering / overweight cat
Neutering changes metabolism – neutered cats have lower calorie needs and a higher risk of weight gain. The lowest carbohydrate level in the line (3.6% dry matter) and no fillers make weight control easier. Organic phosphorus below 1% dry matter – urinary prophylaxis – neutered cats are more prone to urinary tract issues.

Fussy / neophobic cat
Mousse texture, optimal fat level (~27.7% dry matter) as a carrier of smell and taste. For maximum palatability, serve at room temperature. Serving directly from the fridge may reduce the intensity of the aroma and flavor. Pheasant has an intense, distinctive aroma that often works well for cats bored with classic flavors.

Senior cat
Taurine 2400 mg/kg supports heart and vision. Organic phosphorus below 1% dry matter relieves the kidneys, which work harder with age. High moisture supports the urinary system. The mousse is easier to eat for cats with dental problems. High protein content (12.5% dry matter) helps maintain muscle mass in seniors.

Cat on a rotational diet
The CATering line includes 12 monoprotein recipes, making it easy and safe to rotate protein sources in your cat's daily diet. This approach helps maintain variety in meals and reduces the risk of food sensitivities. Pheasant adds a unique game character to the diet, enriching the menu with a less common source of protein.

Why is CATering pheasant wet food a good choice for your cat?

Grain-free – the lowest carbohydrate level in the entire CATering line
Cats are obligate carnivores – their bodies have a low ability to digest grains or starch. In their diet, energy comes mainly from proteins and fats. In CATering Pheasant wet food, carbohydrates make up only 3.6% dry matter – the lowest level in the entire CATering line. No grains, no fillers, no compromises.

Phosphorus – organic only, below 1% dry matter
Excess phosphorus burdens the kidneys, so not only the amount but also the source matters. In CATering Pheasant, phosphorus comes exclusively from meat (organic phosphorus), and its level – 0.16% as-fed and 0.76% dry matter – is kept at a safe level. The calcium-to-phosphorus ratio is 1.4:1 – within the standard for a healthy adult cat.

Taurine – healthy heart, vision and nervous system
Cats produce taurine in insufficient amounts – the level in their bodies depends almost entirely on what they eat. We supplement 2400 mg/kg – above the FEDIAF minimum, because your pet's healthy heart, good vision and proper nervous system cannot depend on chance.

Single source of pheasant protein – rare protein for elimination diets
Each can of CATering Pheasant contains only one source of animal protein. As a game meat, pheasant rarely appears in commercial pet food offerings. Therefore it is an ideal protein source for cats with allergies.

Highest crude protein in the line – 12.5%
CATering Pheasant contains 12.5% crude protein, 57% protein on a dry matter basis – the highest level in the entire CATering line. For an obligate carnivore, animal protein is the primary metabolic fuel – it supports maintaining muscle mass (especially in seniors and active cats) and serves as a carrier of essential amino acids that cats cannot produce themselves.

Psyllium – soluble fiber for digestion
Psyllium in the recipe is not a random addition – it acts as soluble fiber that regulates bowel function, binds water and helps maintain proper stool consistency.

A tasty mousse – texture and aroma ideal for cats
Cats choose food primarily by smell – aroma is the first and most important filter, even before taste. The mousse texture and optimal fat level (~27.7% dry matter) carry an aroma that cats won't miss. Pheasant has a more intense, more distinctive scent that can attract cats turning their noses away from standard flavors.

Cuisine for picky palates
The CATering line was created for cats with food neophobia, for whom a new flavor should be introduced gradually. Soups from the Soups line will help with the transition between the old and the new flavor.

Composition
97% pheasant (85% muscle meat, 12% pheasant broth), 1% psyllium, 1% vitamins and minerals, 1% salmon oil.

Single source of animal protein. Zero grains, zero fillers.

Divide the recommended amount of food into 4–5 meals per day. Keep in mind that feeding recommendations may vary depending on the cat's age, condition and temperament. Fresh, clean drinking water should always be available.

Store in a dry and cool place, away from sunlight. After opening, refrigerate and use within 48 hours.

Serve at room temperature – warmth brings out the food's aroma and entices the cat to the bowl. Food straight from the fridge, despite its ideal composition, may be ignored by the cat.
