Omega Forte – high-concentration omega-3 oil for dogs
EPA and DHA fatty acids have a multidirectional, positive effect on the body of dogs and other companion animals. This is a highly concentrated formula designed for intensive dietary support in situations of increased omega-3 demand.
Product use
The product is recommended as part of dietary management in cases of kidney and liver insufficiency, heart disease, neurodegenerative changes, and inflammatory conditions of the joints and spine. It provides supportive care in skin diseases accompanied by itching: seborrhea, atopy, and allergic reactions.
Preventively, EPA and DHA are recommended for puppies and adult dogs, especially highly active dogs, breeding dogs, dogs with reduced immunity, and dogs prone to allergies.
Effects of EPA and DHA
Essential unsaturated fatty acids from the omega-3 family have a multidirectional, positive effect on the body of dogs and other companion animals. EPA and DHA play an important role in preventing and alleviating disease processes, including inflammatory conditions. They support anti-inflammatory processes by influencing the synthesis of anti-inflammatory mediators such as protectins and resolvins, while also limiting the formation of pro-inflammatory factors including prostaglandins, leukotriene B4, and interleukins.
Support in skin and joint conditions
Omega-3 fatty acids have broad applications in veterinary dietary therapy. In atopy and other itchy skin conditions, enriching the diet with EPA and DHA may visibly improve skin and coat condition and significantly reduce itching.
In degenerative joint disease, omega-3 may improve comfort and help reduce inflammatory responses, and in some cases may even allow lower doses of pain-relieving or anti-inflammatory medications.
Support for the heart, kidneys and nervous system
In dogs with heart disease, omega-3 may beneficially affect heart muscle function. In senior dogs, DHA supplementation supports the nervous system thanks to its neuroprotective properties and may also help in processes associated with aging.
EPA and DHA are also an important support in the dietary management of kidney insufficiency, helping to limit the progression of nephron damage. In addition, a deficiency of omega-3 fatty acids may increase susceptibility to infections, which is why supplementation also has a beneficial effect on immune function.
Product forms
The product is available in two forms: capsules and liquid oil in a bottle with a pipette. Both forms contain the same oil with identical composition and effect – the only difference is the method of administration and dosing.
The capsule form is especially suitable for dogs sensitive to the smell of oil and for caregivers who prefer quick and convenient supplementation. The liquid oil form allows precise adjustment of the dose to the dog's body weight and easy administration with food.
Especially recommended for
sport and working dogs, puppies during growth, breeding males and bitches, dogs with reduced immunity and tendency to allergies, and dogs suffering from degenerative diseases of the joints and spine.
