Game Dog Krill Oil – krill oil for dogs 60 capsules / 50 ml
A complementary feed for dogs that enriches the diet with highly absorbable Omega-3 fatty acids, phospholipids, and antioxidants. The product supports the heart and circulatory system, liver regeneration, nervous system function, and processes that help reduce inflammation. It may be a helpful supportive element in the management of skin conditions, kidney failure, and periods of increased demand for omega-3 fatty acids and antioxidants.
A complementary feed for dogs, being a source of EPA (eicosapentaenoic) and DHA (docosahexaenoic) acids from the Omega-3 family, as well as a powerful antioxidant – astaxanthin. The product is recommended as part of dietary therapy in cases of kidney and liver failure, heart disease, neurodegenerative changes, and inflammatory conditions of the joints and spine. It also supports the treatment of itchy skin disorders such as seborrhea and atopy, and may help alleviate allergic reactions.
Preventively, the product may be used in puppies and adult dogs, especially active, breeding, immunocompromised, and allergy-prone dogs. The product is available in two forms: capsules and liquid krill oil in a bottle with a pipette. Both forms are based on Antarctic krill oil (Euphausia superba) and support the dog’s body in a similar functional range – the difference lies in the method of administration and dosage flexibility.
The capsule form is especially suitable for dogs sensitive to the smell of oil and for owners who prefer a quick and convenient administration. The liquid oil form allows for precise dose adjustment to the dog’s body weight and easy mixing with food.
EPA and DHA fatty acids
Essential unsaturated fatty acids from the omega-3 family have a broad, beneficial effect on the bodies of dogs and other companion animals. EPA and DHA play an important role in the prevention and alleviation of disease processes, including inflammatory conditions. They are an important part of dietary therapy for animals with skin diseases and joint degeneration, as well as inflammation associated with these conditions. They also have a positive effect on heart and nervous system function.
EPA and DHA are also used in the dietary management of kidney and liver failure in dogs. A deficiency of EPA and DHA may increase susceptibility to infections, and studies conducted on dogs of various ages have shown that enriching the diet with omega-3 unsaturated fatty acids has a positive effect on immune system function.
In krill oil, EPA and DHA occur in phospholipid form, which makes them more bioavailable than in other sources.
Phospholipids
Phospholipids have many functions in the body. They are a structural component of cell membranes and a source of choline for the neurotransmitter acetylcholine. They are also an important factor in energy production and storage, and they support blood clotting.
They are particularly important for the liver, because hepatocyte membranes are largely composed of phospholipids. They inhibit fibrosis in the liver, support its regeneration, and participate in fat digestion and the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins.
A diet rich in phospholipids may reduce fatty liver by limiting fat absorption in the intestines and affecting the activity of liver enzymes that regulate lipid metabolism.
Phospholipids also play a key role in brain function, making up a significant part of its mass.
Astaxanthin
Astaxanthin is a powerful antioxidant with many health-promoting properties. It neutralizes toxins and binds free radicals that damage the body’s cells. It accumulates in muscles, where it reduces the effects of oxidative stress and exercise-induced muscle damage. By reducing the synthesis of pro-inflammatory biomarkers such as interleukins, it supports processes that limit inflammation and accelerates tissue regeneration. It also supports proper eye function.
Astaxanthin also supports the proper functioning of the immune system by strengthening both cellular and humoral responses. It increases lymphocyte production.
Products containing astaxanthin are also recommended as part of dietary therapy for diabetes, due to their ability to regulate blood glucose levels and increase insulin sensitivity. Astaxanthin also shows anticancer activity.
Game Dog Krill Oil has undergone a series of quality analyses. The quality certificate confirms the absence of heavy metals and other contaminants, ensuring safe use.
