CATering Deer – wet game meat cat food

CATering Deer is a game meat cat food – made from meat of free-living animals. It is red meat with a deep aroma that no farm-raised meat can match. CATering Deer contains 97% meat and broth in a tasty mousse – nothing unnecessary, nothing cut short.

This food fits perfectly with current nutritional trends – it is characterized by a low carbohydrate level (4.5% on a dry matter basis) and phosphorus coming exclusively from organic sources (0.73% on a dry matter basis).

Will CATering deer mousse be ideal for your cat?

Deer is one of two game meat options in the CATering line – the meat comes from wild hunts, not from farms. Red meat is distinguished by an intense aroma that farm-raised meat cannot provide. High caloric value (1091 kcal/kg) and low NFE (4.5%) make it a good choice when you are looking for protein outside the full spectrum of poultry, fish, and farm-raised meats, or when your cat needs a food with higher nutrient density. In the PERROland world, every purring pet will find its flavor – the CATering line also includes 11 other flavors.

Cat with food intolerance / allergy
One source of animal protein in each flavor. Deer is game meat – a protein that is by nature rarely present in a cat's diet. It is especially good for cats whose bodies have already reacted to popular farm-raised meats or fish.

Cat with sensitive kidneys
Phosphorus is exclusively organic, 0.16% on a wet matter basis (0.73% on a dry matter basis) – safely below 1% on a dry matter basis, as in all CATering flavors.

Cat that drinks too little
Cats have a low sense of thirst. CATering Deer has 78% moisture, which almost meets the daily water requirement. Choosing the right feeding model for cats can be just as important as the food's composition.

Picky / neophobic cat
Mousse texture, optimal fat level (~28.6% on a dry matter basis) as a carrier of aroma and flavor. For maximum palatability, serve at room temperature. Serving it straight from the fridge may reduce the intensity of the aroma and taste. Deer has a deeper, more forest-like aroma than farm-raised meats – a different note worth choosing when familiar flavors no longer interest your pet.

Cat prone to diabetes or insulin resistance
A carbohydrate level of 4.5% on a dry matter basis is one of the lowest in the entire CATering line. Foods with such a level may help stabilize glycemia without restricting food intake.

Senior cat
Taurine at 2400 mg/kg supports heart and vision. Organic phosphorus below 1% on a dry matter basis reduces the burden on kidneys, which work harder with age. High moisture supports the urinary system. The mousse is easier for cats with dental issues to eat. Red game meat is a natural, highly digestible source of iron – important for older cats whose energy condition declines with age.

Cat after neutering
Neutering changes metabolism – neutered cats have lower energy needs and a higher risk of overweight. Low carbohydrate level (4.5% on a dry matter basis) and no fillers help control body weight. Organic phosphorus below 1% on a dry matter basis supports urinary health, as neutered cats are more prone to urinary tract problems.

Cat on a rotational diet
12 flavors, each with a single source of animal protein. Rotating different proteins reduces the risk of food intolerances and prevents diet monotony. Deer brings game-meat aroma and nutritional profile to the rotation – different from farm-raised meats and fish.

Why is CATering deer wet food a good choice?

Grain-free – one of the lowest carbohydrate levels in the line
Cats are obligate carnivores – their bodies have a low ability to digest grains or starch. Their energy needs are met by protein and fat, while the missing glucose is produced in the process of gluconeogenesis. In CATering Deer, carbohydrates are only 4.5% on a dry matter basis – one of the lowest levels in the entire line. No grains, no fillers, no compromises.

Phosphorus – exclusively organic, below 1% on a dry matter basis
Excess phosphorus burdens the kidneys, which is why not only its amount but also its source matters. In CATering Deer, phosphorus comes exclusively from meat, and its level – 0.16% on a wet matter basis and 0.73% on a dry matter basis – stays safely below 1%. No added inorganic phosphates*. The calcium-to-phosphorus ratio is 1.4:1 – within the norm for a healthy adult cat.

* Inorganic phosphorus – added to many foods in the form of phosphates – burdens the kidneys and may lead to damage of the renal tubules.

Taurine – healthy heart, vision and nervous system
Cats produce taurine in insufficient amounts – its level in the body depends almost entirely on what they eat. We supplement 2400 mg/kg, above the FEDIAF minimum, because your pet's healthy heart, good vision and proper nervous system cannot depend on chance.

One source of game-meat protein – meat from wild hunts
Each can of CATering Deer contains one source of animal protein. This matters when you are looking for protein outside the full spectrum of farm-raised meats (chicken, turkey, pork) and fish. Red game meat is a natural source of heme iron and vitamin B12.

High nutrient density – 1091 kcal/kg
The energy value of 1091 kcal/kg makes CATering Deer a food with higher nutrient density. In practice, this means smaller portions for the same daily calorie requirement – suitable for active cats, during recovery, or for cats that can only eat a few bites at a time.

Psyllium husk – soluble fiber for digestion
Psyllium husk in the recipe is no random addition – it acts as soluble fiber that regulates intestinal function, binds water, and helps maintain proper stool consistency. Discreetly, but effectively.

78% moisture – daily hydration
Cats have a poor sense of thirst – in nature they hydrate mainly through hunted prey. CATering Deer provides daily support for the urinary system without having to monitor whether the cat drinks from the bowl. 78% moisture almost fully covers daily water needs.

Tasty mousse – fat as a carrier of aroma
Cats choose food primarily by smell – aroma is the first and most important filter, even before taste. The mousse texture and optimal fat level (~28.6% on a dry matter basis) carry an aroma a cat won't miss. Deer has a deeper, more forest-like tone than farm-raised meat – it is worth serving at room temperature, which enhances palatability.

Cuisine for picky palates
The CATering line was created for pets that sniff, turn away and wait. For cats with food neophobia, introduce the new flavor gradually: try PERROland toppers as a transitional link between the old and the new taste.

Composition
97% deer (85% muscle meat, 12% deer broth), 1% psyllium husk, 1% vitamins and minerals, 1% salmon oil.

One source of animal protein. Zero grains, zero fillers.

Divide the recommended daily amount into 4–5 meals per day. Remember that feeding recommendations may vary depending on the cat's age, condition and temperament. Fresh, clean drinking water should always be available.

Store in a dry, cool place away from sunlight. After opening, keep refrigerated and use within 48 hours.

Serve at room temperature – warmth releases the food's aroma, attracting the cat to the bowl. Food straight from the fridge, despite its ideal composition, may be ignored by the cat.
