Iberico is an ancient, semi-wild pig breed originating from Spain. It is known for its exceptional meat quality and unique nutty flavour. This quality comes from their diet and their balanced, animal-friendly rearing system. They live outdoors and their diet consists solely of acorns, mushrooms, aromatic grasses and other natural products. That is why Iberico meat offers many health benefits:

Hypoallergenic and easy to digest – many dogs have never eaten pork before. Therefore, this protein can suit a hypoallergenic diet, for example for dogs suffering from food allergies. Iberico is also easy to digest, making it suitable for dogs with sensitive digestive systems.

Healthy fats – Iberico pork contains a very high level of monounsaturated fatty acids, such as oleic acid (omega 9; the same fatty acid found in olive oil), which are beneficial for the cardiovascular system, among other things. It also contains omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. Together, all these fatty acids support metabolism, cardiovascular health and the functioning of all body cells. This meat is recommended in cholesterol-lowering diets because it contains little saturated fat.

Proteins and amino acids – Iberico meat is a good source of high-quality, easily digestible proteins. They are the building blocks of the body and support both muscle production and development. How is YDOLO semi-moist dog food made?

YDOLO uses a production method that results in healthier, tastier and more natural food for the intestines. Only fresh meat and/or fresh fish are used, mixed with all other ingredients and then cooked very slowly in their own juices at a low temperature of up to 78°C (similar to home cooking). The granules are then formed at a low temperature (+-70°C), a process known as cold pressing. This is how exceptionally soft and incomparably delicious YDOLO foods are made.

It is healthy and more nutritious – more vitamins and minerals remain in YDOLO food, and the protein structure is better preserved. There is no need to add fat or oil during production to form the kibbles. All this is thanks to the unique production process.

It is super tasty and soft – YDOLO food is moister and softer, which increases palatability and brings out the natural aroma. The higher moisture content also helps keep your dog better hydrated. Due to its exceptional taste, it can also be used as a treat.

It is gentle on the intestines – it supports better digestion and is more natural for the intestines, helping reduce gas and diarrhoea. It lowers the burden on the digestive tract and the food granules are optimally and easily digested. As a result, less stool is produced.

The recipe was developed by leading dog nutrition specialists who carefully selected ingredients based on their proven health properties. Each ingredient adds value; none is included as an empty filler. All of them support organs and the immune system in the best possible way:

Joints and mobility – chondroitin, glucosamine and MSM support cartilage health, alfalfa helps relieve arthritis, and green-lipped mussel is a source of natural glucosamine.

Intestines and digestion – chicory root is a source of FOS inulin, artichoke supports healthy digestion (MOS), and sweet potatoes, bananas and apples are full of fibre and natural prebiotics.

Liver and kidneys – alfalfa acts as a diuretic and helps treat excessive urine acidity, which may help prevent irritation of the bladder and kidneys and the formation of stones. Cranberry reduces susceptibility to urinary tract inflammation.

Skin and coat – trout oil is a source of Omega fatty acids with better properties and ratios than salmon oil, blueberries are rich in antioxidants that help prevent ageing, and olive oil improves cell health and contains essential unsaturated fatty acids that help prevent a dull coat.
